What is GCPS Credit Recovery?
|
- GCPS Credit Recovery is an opportunity for a student to retake a course that he/she previously failed with a grade of 60 to 69 and was not academically successful in earning credit towards graduation. Counselor approval is required in order to be eligible.
- Credit Recovery courses are designed to be on a flexible schedule and are not facilitated by a teacher. If you are looking for a teacher-led course on a semester schedule, please go to Online Campus Program for more information.
- Credit Recovery options allow students who have completed seat time and calendar requirements to earn credit based on competency of the content standards.
- Credit Recovery courses are complete courses containing all AKS content for which the student will demonstrate mastery before receiving a new grade.
- GCPS Credit Recovery offers core courses required for graduation from a Gwinnett County Public Schools.
- Taking a Credit Recovery course will result in the student not being able to retake the same course through the Credit Recovery Program. Please discuss alternate options with your local school counselor.
