Development Team

The Gwinnett Online Campus Middle Grades Development Team is comprised of nineteen highly qualified educators who have been recommended by county curriculum coordinators and principals throughout Gwinnett County. Their dedication to student achievement and passion for technology are guiding them as they work together to create a world-class middle grades program at Gwinnett Online Campus.
Christine Austin
Ms. Austin is a Gwinnett County graduate who has taught with GCPS for nine years. She holds a Specialist degree in teacher leadership and is completing her Ed.D. in online learning. She currently serves as the middle school development coordinator at Gwinnett Online Campus.
Lonnie Duong
Ms. Duong is currently a middle school math teacher at GIVE West with ten years of teaching experience. She holds her Master of Education degree.
Dr. Dana Edwards
Dr. Edwards has been in education for twenty-four years, nine of which have been with GCPS. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and currently works as a counselor for Gwinnett Online Campus.
Josh Grasso
Mr. Grasso holds a Master of Science Education degree and is currently working on his Specialist degree in instructional technology. He has taught science in GCPS for five years, and is currently employed with North Gwinnett Middle School.
Cathy Griffin
Ms. Griffin has taught for eleven years and is currently teaching 7th grade gifted math at Snellville Middle School. She holds a Specialist degree and is completing her Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction.
Michelle Head
Ms. Head is in her sixth year teaching and currently serves as the Title 1 reading and writing teacher at Grace Snell Middle School. She holds a Master of Education degree from California State University San Bernadino.
Mandie Holmes
Ms. Holmes is a Gwinnett County graduate with twelve years of teaching experience with GCPS and Gwinnett Online Campus. She holds a Master of Middle School Education degree and currently works as an adjunct language arts instructor with Gwinnett Online Campus.
Dr. Jennifer Jankauskas
Dr. Jankauskas is a GCPS graduate who has taught with her home county for twelve years. She holds an Ed.D. from Walden University in teacher leadership and is in-field gifted certified. She currently serves as an 8th grade language arts teacher at Creekland Middle School.
Dr. Bree Johnson
Dr. Johnson holds an Ed.D. in teacher leadership and has taught with her alma mater, Gwinnett County Public Schools, for thirteen years. She is certified in middle grades language arts, math, and social studies, and she is currently a 6th grade math teacher at Frank N. Osborne Middle School.
Marisa Kana
Ms. Kana has been in education for twenty-three years and has served GCPS in many capacities, ranging from educator to administrator. She holds a Specialist degree and currently works as the special education coordinator for Gwinnett Online Campus.
Melissa Moore
Ms. Moore is a GCPS graduate who is in her sixth year teaching with Gwinnett County. With experience teaching language arts and social studies, grades 6-8, she currently teaches 7th grade social studies at Shiloh Middle School.
Dr. Ginger O’Neal
Dr. O’Neal has been in education for seventeen years and is in her fifth year with GCPS. She currently serves as the associate principal at Gwinnett Online Campus. She holds a Ph.D. in leadership, with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
Dr. Daundria Phillips
Dr. Phillips has been in education for thirteen years, serving in roles ranging from educator to principal. She holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and is currently acting as an assistant principal at Gwinnett Online Campus.
Kathy Poulton
Ms. Poulton holds a Master of Library Science degree and is in her sixteenth year in education. She currently works part-time with Gwinnett Online Campus as the Media Specialist.
Dr. Christopher Ray
Dr. Ray has worked in education for fifteen years, all of which have been with Gwinnett County Public School. He holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership and is the current principal of Gwinnett Online Campus.
Tammie Smith
Ms. Smith is currently in her 14th year teaching 8th grade accelerated math at Bay Creek Middle School. She holds a Specialist degree and has taught grades 6-8 science, math, and social studies.
Nia Thornton
Ms. Thornton is a middle grades language arts and ESOL teacher at GIVE West who has been teaching for four years, two of which have been with GCPS. She holds a Master’s degree and is currently enrolled in a second Master’s program.
Pat Tinklepaugh
Ms. Tinklepaugh has been a GCPS educator for nineteen years and is currently working at Twin Rivers Middle School as a health and physical education teacher. She holds a Specialist degree in language arts and social studies, and has extensive experience collaborating in these subjects.
Brooke Webb
Ms. Webb is a Gwinnett County graduate who is currently working as a 7th grade language arts teacher at Jones Middle School as well as an adjunct high school language arts teacher with Gwinnett Online Campus. She has eleven years teaching experience, all with Gwinnett County.
